ABOUT ME

My journey as an artist began in childhood in Munich, where I studied classical painting for more than six years under the Ukrainian artist Natalia Zurakowska and took part in several youth exhibitions. This early training instilled in me a deep love for art and laid the foundation for everything that followed.

I went on to study Design at AMD Munich, where my graduation collection received the prestigious Best Graduate Award and was presented internationally at Moda Portugal in Porto among the top European graduate collections. After several years working in the fashion industry — specializing in handprinted print design —and later teaching fashion illustration and technical drawing at AMD, I felt a strong pull back to my first passion: painting.

In 2018, following a period of burnout, I rediscovered my creative strength through painting. This turning point profoundly shaped my practice, leading me to explore abstraction and surrealism in oil and acrylic. Since then, I have exhibited in both solo and group shows and collaborated with galleries, cultural institutions, and leading art brands such as Clairefontaine, Blockx, Gerstaecker, and Boesner.
My work seeks a balance between intuition and technique, exploring themes of inner landscapes, transformation, and the shifting boundaries between reality and imagination.

Alongside my artistic practice, I share my passion for creativity through teaching. In 2020, I founded Mary’s Art Academyin Munich, where I guide children, adults, and aspiring art students in developing their own artistic voices.

For me, art is both an act of self-discovery and a dialogue with others—a way of transforming personal experience into something universal.
